Hi my name is Lucas Dassie and I'm 6 years old.  Thanks so much for visiting my website.  My mom and dad helped me put it together because it's my first one! 

I was born with my twin sister, Caitlin, on Valentine's day and we came a little early at only 28 weeks of pregnancy.  We were told that we had no chance for survival.  In fact, the doctors told mommy and daddy to abort me and sis and just start over.  Boy, I'm glad they didn't listen but instead, prayed for us to both make it.

Defying the odds, today my sister is perfectly healthy and I'm so excited for her.  My mommy and daddy say I'm a hero and that it was a miracle for me to make it to week 28 so that we both had a chance to live.  I do have some health and physical challenges but I am alive!  I've been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (Brain Trauma), Vision impairments, Lung Disease, and Severe Acid Reflux (Gerd).  Unfortunately these challenges have almost taken my life on multiple occasions.  I've fought this battle hard thus far and am doing awesome today!

My Mommy and Daddy are very actively assisting me to get better with an alternative form of therapy called the Anat Baniel Method.  This method of very specific movements and touch helps my brain to regain capabilities and take me past my current limitations.  The health and development challenges I contend with have given my mom and dad the opportunity to learn so much more about what they can do to help me so that I continue to thrive.
